Its strong skill base has enabled RJ Environmental Services to build up long-term relationships with all of its clients and it has always had a sound association with Cynon Taf Housing Association. Since then we have progressed to full building refurbishment contracts.

A major project for the company recently has been at Cynon Taf’s Penllew Court development, where it has installed level access showers, disabled facilities and new kitchens, working to RNIB standards. The properties are tenanted while the work is carried out, which requires excellent customer service skills from RJ Environmental Services. On the back of its success at Penllew Court RJ Environmental Services has been appointed to carry out kitchen and bathroom installations on a larger scale at the Gower Davies Court sheltered housing scheme.

The company is also a preferred contractor on the Devco project, a consortium made up of Cynon Taf, Hafod, Merthyr, and Rhondda housing associations, which was set up to develop and maintain good quality housing across the region. It has been involved in adapting individual properties to suit specific tenants’ needs, for example making homes wheelchair accessible and installing features such as level access showers.
